It was very friendly, for a budget accommodation choice, with lovely clean bedding and bathroom and complementary toiletries. The breakfast choice was very good, no cooked breakfast, but plenty of choice otherwise. It is dog friendly and we really enjoyed our overnight stay there and would happily go back if staying in the area again

Parking plentiful but strewn with litter and unkempt. Poor first impression. Check in ok but discovered not serving dinner, despite my message requesting a reservation (which was ignored). Room weary but ok. This place is the very definition of a pub with rooms

Disappointed

Stayed here over night, and the room was not very clean. Thick dust under the bed. Shower screen very dirty, shelf in the shower was disgustingly slimy. Very poor lights, 1 light in bathroom not working, bathroom fan didn’t work so steamed up the room straight away. Bathroom lock was broken. Extremely noisy from the bar. We stayed here last year for a night and from midnight there was trouble in one of the other rooms, got absolutely no sleep all night with this, wasn’t good as we had a 3 hour drive home. We couldn’t get car out of the car park in the morning because of all the police. We went for a walk for an hour to look for somewhere to get breakfast. We decided to try it again this year, but really disappointed in the room this time.

Friendly and welcoming!!

Enjoyed a one night stay here very warm welcome and a no frills room which was fine for us and our dog.Spent an evening in the bar which had an open mic night and was a friendly atmosphere.Beautiful surrounding countryside great stop off for trips to Scotland or England.

A basic very clean hotel room. Staff, owners and locals are very friendly. A basic continental breakfast. Would have been nicer with more fresh fruit. Nice walk nearby. A very dog friendly hotel and surrounding area. Local hotel serves good evening meals.
