Weekend away

An overnight stay this weekend was just the ticket. We went down into Masham to see the Traction and Steam engines on Sue’s recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is full of history and comfort. The hosts are absolutely wonderful.

A perfect Yorkshire Dales romantic escape

Firs Farm B&B is a beautiful 19th‑century farmhouse near Masham, with stunning views and a wonderfully cosy feel. The hosts' hospitality is exceptional, and the bedrooms are immaculate and comfortable. The sitting room, complete with a welcoming log fire, is the ideal place to unwind. Breakfast was a real highlight, with many delicious options. With walking trails right from the door and top attractions close by, it’s an outstanding place to stay in the Dales.

A welcoming Yorkshire stay

Lovely room overlooking surrounding farmland and hills. Quiet and comfortable, with King size bed. Welcomed with deliciously home baked cakes and tea.
Nicely cooked breakfast and scrumptious homemade sourdough bread.
We had use of a very comfortable sitting room with log burning fire. Perfect after a hard days walking.
Firs is ideal for exploring Masham and Ripon areas.
We will definitely return.

Paradise in the Dales

The best linens, the best breakfasts and teas, the best views, and absolutely the best hostess. Sarah took such good care of us that we felt like family. There are so many wonderful things to do from this quiet, rural location. The Himalayan Sculpture Garden is near by and gorgeous in the spring. The Swinton Estate is also vey close with a fine spa day that includes afternoon tea. Several good restaurants within easy reach. If you are a walker, several day walk leave directly from the farm.

Loveliest of people & location, with extra bonus of lambs

What a delightful piece of heaven tucked away in the hills behind Masham.
The warmest of welcomes awaits you, tea & cake by a roaring fire, gorgeous rooms for sleeping, reading or sitting down to a delicious farmhouse breakfast, of course with local produce.
As you step outside every type of birdsong greets you (woodpecker was my favourite) and a highlight at this time of year, were the ever increasing number of baby lambs jumping with joy. We were lucky enough to be able to help & you can’t have too many cuddles with lambs of just a few days old, can you!
Whether using as a base to walk in the countryside, to visit the many towns in the Dales or to experience the delicious restaurants nearby, this is a perfect place to stay.
