Excellent for workers or travellers alike.

I cannot say enough positive things about The kings arms Hotel
Joan & Allen are professional accommodating and helpful.
Stayed for 4 months due to work, stayed in 3 different rooms, all off which are to a high standard,, they are like new rooms everything works from the kitchen sink (depending on what room you choose as some have kitchenettes, very warm rooms with central heating.
Excellent showers with superb water pressure.
While the Rooms are above the pub, don’t be put off as this is a real tranquil pub, not rowdy or noisy at all, so will not effect your stay due to noise as sound proofing is excellent.
Joan is very attentive, friendly and will help you out with any issues or requests, never had a problem parking outside, which is free.
10 min walk to Aldi, Tesco Safeway, supermarkets., small corner shop 2 min walk that has everything you might need.
I travel all over country with work and I can honestly say that this hotel is in top 3 places I’ve stayed lin.

Very poor - avoid at all costs

Five us booked in the kings while away on a fishing trip, on arrival everything was fine and shown straight to our table, drinks arrived not long after ,Guinness & lager but both were flat and not drinkable so we sent a couple back but when they were replaced they were no better. The waitress was very pleasant and took our food orders but things went downhill quickly when the food arrived, dry and overcooked was the flavour of the day, we counted 13 people eating of which 7 complained about the quality of food. Upon asking for our bill we told the pleasant waitress and she said she would sort something out which ended up being £6 off our £127 bill, the spineless manager made the young waitress deal with this who was clearly embarrassed.....please avoid ..

Super hotel and pub

Stayed here 2 nights in December, being close to some functions we were attending. Easy parking outside, separate entrances to pub and hotel, friendly staff. Good shower room, plenty of towels, free Wi-fi, good place to stay.

Very pleasant stay, exceeding our expectations

We had a bit of a shock on our arrival at 1 pm, hoping to have lunch there, as we hadn't been told that they don't open till 2 pm. ...... However, all was well that ended well!
The landlady was really nice – most helpful - she went out of her way to please us.
When I asked about evening meals and breakfasts, she told us the hotel didn’t do either – but she offered to bring tea and toast to our room. When it arrived, there were cornflakes and boiled eggs as well as the toast and marmalade!
The beds were comfortable and the TV had subtitles, which I needed.
There was nothing we didn't like, although it would have been nice to have a shelf in the bathroom for our toiletries.

Super venue in Farnworth

We stayed 2 nights at the pub/hotel and enjoyed very much the experience. Room was clean and bright with good Wi-Fi and tv. The hotel doesn't offer any breakfast but Rosie's in Plodder lane is just around the corner where you can eat very well for little money. Plenty of parking and very helpful staff.
