Looking forward to coming back

Wow, what an amazing place to stay! This was the final stop on our week-long adventure celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, and it was the perfect way to end our trip.
We stayed in Room 8, which was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. With the recent heatwave, the fan provided in the room was greatly appreciated.
The pool was fantastic, and being able to check in at 3pm meant we could spend the afternoon relaxing poolside with an ice-cold cider—it genuinely felt like we were abroad.
The dining room was bright, clean, and welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.
Both the host and the lady serving breakfast were incredibly friendly, chatty, and made us feel so welcome.
Considering how hot and uncomfortable it must have been working in those temperatures, the level of service we received was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, and we couldn’t fault our stay. Thank you for helping make our anniversary celebration so special!

Great and nicely planted garden with terraces and swimming pool. Good parking. Nice standard room and good shower. Very good breakfast with lots of choices. The hotel is right in the centre and good pub (Riverside Inn) right next to the hotel. Nice host.

The place to stay in Cheddar Gorge

An extremely pleasant stay at a lovely venue. Was more than pleasantly surprised at how clean and tidy the room was.
Your breakfast staff were some if the politest people imaginable and so very friendly.
Thank you all for giving us a stress free stay when we needed it the most.
We look forward to coming back when things are back to normal.

Highly Recommend

We had a wonderful stay at Gordons in Cheddar Gorge B & B. The service was excellent from start to finish, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The location is beautiful with plenty to see and do. Rory and his family were incredibly helpful and recommended lots of great places to eat and visit which made our stay even more enjoyable and relaxing. Their breakfast was outstanding and kept us going all day. They always go that extra mile to make sure you have the best break away . We 've stayed here for the past four years and would recommend this B & B to anyone visiting Cheddar Gorge or neighbouring towns or villages.

A little jewel in Cheddar

This a real family business: mom, dad and two kids working together. Super well located, near every attraction in Cheddar Gorge.
I was a very hot summer night, and we had to sleep with a door a little ajar, with a very cute little donkey full of sand as a door stopper, and a good fan blowing all-night.
Small, silent and quaint room, good bathroom, very clean. Good shower.
Wonderful breakfast, nice and warm family.
They gave us many tips on the surroundings, also.
Strongly recommend.
