Small and friendly

We were pleasantly surprised with this pub that has rooms. We primarily booked as it was close to the O2 Institute. We were greeted warmly and were able to check in a couple hours earlier. The room was clean but small ( which we expected) with tea and coffee making facilities.
The pub had a nice ambience and everyone was friendly. There is an d car downstairs too! We had a drink there before going out and when we got back. No food - just bread rolls.
It wasn’t far down to Digbeth High Street where the O2 institute was and also another old pub and The Custard Factory. It was easily walkable to the Bullring too.
No parking but we parked in the Bullring- 24 hours £20 for secure parking.
We would definitely recommend for one night - either shopping/theatre/O2 institute if you’re not worried about having a fancy hotel.

Somewhere to get your head down

Nice pub , welcoming and friendly staff and the rooms are small but clean and comfortable and good value for money fur somewhere to get your head down for a night while visiting Birmingham . Ok so the surrounding area is a bit rough and ready and you may get woken up by the sound of revving engines and screeching tyres but hey it’s in a very urban area which is undergoing considerable development . You probably wouldn’t book in for a week and given the proximity of the beds in the twin rooms you have to be comfortable with spending a night with whoever is sleeping in the other bed . We didn’t mind , four big sweaty flatulent snoring blokes. It was a laugh . Would book again if we did another theatre trip and didn’t want to spend £130 a night EACH for Premier Inn etc
