Quality meal at the end of a fine hike

We haven't stayed at the hotel, only took a meal at its terrace. The meal has been excellent and we have been quite surprised by the fairly elaborate menu at this remote place. Prices high comparing to other locations in Apuseni; yet quality is much higher. Take a hike from Padis to Stana and conclude it with a fine meal; recommended!

Not great…

We were visiting Stana de Vale in december 2021 and the only hotel available was Hotel Iadolina. It is an old hotel and it can be seen that no renovations have been made for so many years. Apart from the smell of old and the old furniture, we were able to see many bad changes made by and over the time.
They only provide “bed and breakfast” rooms at the price of 290 lei. At breakfast, the restaurant was so crowded that we were forced to share a table with some strangers. The oppen buffet wasn’t very varied and they extra charge for coffee or tee.
We did not have a great experience at Hotel Iadolina, but our stay at Stana de Vale was saved by a great snowy weather,great ski resort and apres ski, ATV rentals and mountain walks.

Decent acomodation - wild sceneries

I've spent 3 nights in this hotel in January. It was a decent experience. The hotel doesn't excell in anything but it's tolerable. It is important for you to know it is literally the only hotel in the resort. Due to this fact, the owners settle for less. I mean, the hotel is clean and ok-ish but there is more that can be done there. We had a nice room, with new plain furniture. The bathroom was clean but some kind of a sewer smell persisted troughout our stay. The disappointment was that during our four days stay, there was no housekeeping, nobody changed towels, provide toilet paper or shower stuff after being used. The room was pourly isolated, so the noise at night was pretty loud. On the other hand, the staff was extremely kind and helpful. Great people. The food was ok, came fast after ordering. The restaurant capacity is kind of small compared with the hotel capacity. All in all, it is a medium quality place to stay. Not good but not quite bad. It's possible to get back there some day.

Peace and quiet

Very quiet and situated in the middle of nature. Great location for walks in nature but the hotel doesn't offer much to do if weather is bad. Since it's the only hotel in the area there is no competition and therefore no incentives to improve. The room we got was nice and clean. There are aspects in regard to the restaurant that can be improved. Food was not exceptional, breakfast was not buffet (you had to choose from what they had available on that day).

Only hotel in the area

We stayed several times at this hotel but that is because there isn't any other in the area. And that is too bad because Stana de Vale is a very beautiful, tranquillant place.
The plus:
- rooms are big and pretty clean; if you can choose the vilas, they are great
- the food is basic but good
- the fact that from the hotel you can go on a lot of walking trips in the mountains. The place is lovely to reconnect to nature, find wildberries, breath fresh, very strong air. This place is one of the ozone rich in the country and Europe
Minuses
- there is nothing else to do, the hotel doesn't have a pool ar a gim or a tennis court. There used to be a sky slope but now it is abandoned.
- it could be a little more well maintained and cleaned
