Different but nice

We stayed for 2 night (with a dog) and were made to feel welcome. We had the ground floor room which was more like an apartment. Everything was clean and comfortable. The Wifi was good. The location only a few minutes to nearby restaurants etc. It's an old building so there was evidence of damp in the kitchen area and bathroom, which have no windows and the floor boards above us were creaky. For the price, in that area, it was good for a short stay.

Comfortable, friendly and quirky!

This hostel, as its name suggests, is only small but very clean and comfortable. There are only 5 bedrooms and they are decorated with artefacts depicting daily life in a Portuguese family home of the late 19th century. The house was adapted into a hostel in 2013 but retains many original features.The bed was most comfortable. There are only 2 bathrooms to share and when we were there one shower was out of use however, it did not present any problem for us.One bathroom was a recent modern addition.Towels were provided. The kitchen is very small and really only useful in that there is a fridge and a microwave. There are not any cooking facilities other than the microwave.There is a small sitting room which I think had a television but we did not use it.
The owner was very friendly and helpful providing maps and advice.There are bus stops with connections to central Sintra , Cascais and Pena Palace and other main attractions. There was a small mini market within a 5 minute walk and quite a few cafes, bars and restaurants in the same area.

Great stay!!!

This place is cosier and more convebient than many hotels in similar region!!! It is clean, fine and family-friendly! The host is fridndly and helpful beyond needs!!! :) thumbs up and best wishes from Lithuania!

Clean room, friendly owner

This small hostel is an old house, nice decorated with 3 rooms. 1 bathroom and kitchen to share.
Our bedroom was clean and very pleasant with one double bed, comfortable mattress and pillows and good space to move around with a lovely window that looked outside and wifi. We had a rental and parked a block away on the street.
The entrance has a somewhat steep stairs, not a problem for us. We had no problem sharing the bathroom, it was always clean and didn't have to wait for shower or toilet, very small shower.
The owner was very friendly and offered basic breakfast, there is a washer in the kitchen but we didn't used it. Very good price too.

Something between average and very good

The interior is definitely unique, the owner friendly and flexible. We had a room with bunk bed. Unfortunately around the window was mould and the room smelled really terrible, we had to sleep by the opened window. The whole hostel smells of smoke so do not stay here if you have problem with this (and do not take room with bunk bed). Wi-fi in this room was not so stable. But the small breakfast was really nice surprise for us (it is not mentioned when you book a room).
