City Break
We recently visited Hotel Felix. It was extremely cheap so we weren’t expecting much. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The outside of the hotel is quite dated as are the rooms. But they were clean and comfortable. There was a tv in the room and we had free WiFi. The shower was powerful and the water always hot. This is a very basic hotel, don’t expect luxury but for what we paid we were more than happy.
This hotel is a little out the way but transport links are good and reasonably priced. The tram stop approx 5 min walk away

Never again
Bed uncimfortable, curtains dont fit windows and dont black out the lights. When we arrived we didnt feel like we welcome and staff said they dont speak english which id question working in a hotel. Asked for informantion o. Restaurants and they said they didnt know. We ended up finding places ourselves using google.
We were given a room on the very top floor right near the end of the hotel and felt that they put us there out of the road. A couple of nights very noisy from other guests.
We asked for information and possibly a menu from the hotel restaurant and we were shown the qr code which takes you to a facebook page that gives absolutely no information at all and doesnt seem to be updated much. We tried to find said restaurant using the signage within the hotel to no avail.
Very very run down and dreary looking both inside and ouside.
Noone could help with public transport information into old town etc so we used bolt as it was reasonably cheap.
I myself work in hospitality and have done for over 20 years. Our job is to assist customers and patrons as needed and if we personally dont know the answer then we go and find out.
Room often cold, sockets hanging off walls completely unsafe conditions. They say you get what u pay for but we didnt even get that.
Had i had momey to spare i would have paid for new accomodation but unfortunately we were on a budget and couldnt risk not receiving a refund.
Shower worked when it wanted to and took absolutely ages for water to heat up.

Average hotel but good for the price
Outside of hotel is quite dated but inside isn't too bad, rooms are fairly modern and a good size. Tram 52 takes you to the centre in about 30 minutes and is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Overall an okay hotel, very cheap in comparison with others.

Bedbugs in the room
I was bitten by bedbugs. Later I found it in my room (in my bed!!!). Terrible experience and sleepless night. Not best place for relaxing or staying overnight especially with kids.
Beside that bathroom smells not really good and not comfortable at all. Terrible experience for NOT small money :(

Plenty to see around the area
Although out of the central city area there is plenty to see and do.
Next door there is a moderate sized supermarket, kebab shops, etc. And along further is the main trolley bus station. Get on a Number 52 to get into the central city.
The other side of the hotel is the grand modern church. Well worth some contemplation. But remember it's a church not an art gallery so mind your manners as a guest, especially during prayer times.
Out the back is a large outdoor vegie and fruit market along with pastry shops with strudel (something the Poles claim as their invention).
Inside the hostel part there rooms are very modest and quite bare. Bring your own soaps, etc. Quite clean and quiet - a big plus.
Breakfast is an optional extra and worth taking.
At the front desk if you ask how to get to the airport and the likes, the reply will be a get a taxi. However, get that number 52 trolley bus way down thru the city to the change platform with the airport bus. It's quite easy and of course, very cheap. It just takes about one and a half hours but you will enjoy your final city views.
