Great location

We were four friends who had booked a room at the b&b. We arrived late and the check in was smooth. It was only us at the b&b, and we had a nice loft room. The room was very nice, but since it was very warm out, the room was a little bit warm even with the air pump. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. The location is also fantastic close to bars, shopping etc in the center of Eindoven

Surprisingly good

I myself was not the main booker and was a bit skeptical about a hotel on Stratumseind and also a shared shower and toilet but I thought it was all really good.
Shower and toilet were very clean and tidy. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Sure, on Saturday night you are 'troubled' by noise from outside but in the room were already earplugs ready and therefore zero noise pollution. Breakfast buffet was not very extensive but still just good. Fresh croissants, fresh rolls, boiled egg, totally fine.
So all in all very satisfied

I strongly do not recommend this place. BEDBUGS!!

I stayed here a little over a month ago. When I arrived, someone else was already in my assigned room even though I had the access code. I was moved to another room, but it turned out to be infested with bedbugs. I was severely bitten (hundreds of bites) and because I have allergy, the reaction was extremely painful. I am still dealing with the scars.
I reported everything to the administration and requested compensation and proof that the room had been properly cleaned, but I have not received any response. Very disappointing.

Shocking

Because of the unexpected train strike, I could not travel home and I tried to cancel my one night accommodation in this B&B. Officially, it was not possible to cancel the for free but booking.com told me that in some cases owners are willing to make an exception. As it was an extraordinary situation (absolutely no trains in or out Eindhoven) I contacted this B&B through booking.com and privately too and asked for a reduced price for cancellation. After my 3rd email, they replied very cold that it was not their fault/problem and they are not willing to help me. It is very shocking because of the same train strike, surely many people tried to book my room so the next day they can take the bus to the airport. While I understand that officially B&B don't have to help me, the coldness and the total disregard of helping people a bit in an extremely situation was absolutely shocking and disgraceful for me.

Amazing breakfast, terrible night’s sleep.

Reasonably priced and very central, Winston B&B is situated in a fashionable part of Eindhoven. Clubs and bars line the street which is very clean and surprisingly unrowdy (when we stayed on a Monday). It’s a beautiful old building.
However, with the shared bathroom, you are at the mercy of the hygiene of the other guests and, unfortunately, during our stay, it wasn’t the best. As the building is a few hundred years old, every step, cough and shout could be heard throughout the building. The acoustics of Room 8 meant that I could hear upstairs AND downstairs. The mattresses were really soft and comfortable although a bit big for the beds, so I kept rolling out.
However, the breakfast at this place is INCREDIBLE. The freshest, crispiest bread with various meats and cheese, hot croissants and the tastiest coffee.
The staff were lovely and professional, but unfortunately the noise meant I didn’t get a good nights sleep here.
