RENOVATED BOUTIQUE HOTEL!!!
The hotel has changed dramatically; now you find designer decor everywhere. The pool and beach lounge area looked very elegant. The gardens look very beautiful and my room had an amazing interior design. Highly recommended! It is also right on the beach and suitable for swimming.

A Great Bed and Breakfast!
We found this quant hotel/bed and breakfast by reading reviews here on TripAdvisor. We booked in for 3 weeks from January 25 - February 15. This vacation was one of the most relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle that we have ever had!
We had room 13 which had a fridge, a hot plate , a new air conditioner and a flat screen tv. Every morning we got an American style breakfast of bacon eggs toast fresh fruit and juice. You can also have an omelet or hot cakes. The coffee is excellent and Juan (the owner) does a great job of cooking! Juan and his wife will treat you like family and will do anything to help you get settled in. Juan speaks excellent English and although most of the staff do not, we had fun using Google Translator on our phone!! All of the staff are so hard working and keep the rooms and the grounds so very clean! We had a leaky kitchen tap in our room and it was fixed right away - the staff are great for working together if something needs doing. We even had our laundry done - just ask and you will have it done and back in your room the next day! The cleanliness of La Posada is amazing. Polapas are put out on the beach every day and there are permanent ones by the pool. We watched the pool being cleaned and sanitized every week - one end of the pool is shallow whereas the other end is very deep. We felt totally safe staying at La Posada. There is a night watchman who checks the property throughout the night.
La Posada is a smaller hotel located near the Port and the Navel Base. Every day we watched container ships, pilot boats, tugs and even the navy ships. Cruise ships dock there as well. We even whale watched one day, right from the hotel...a momma whale and her calf were playing right in the Bay! Luckily we saw dolphins too!
It is easy to catch a cab or a local bus for where you want to go. The bus is 8 pesos per person and we gave the taxi drivers 50 pesos and they were very happy with that amount. There are lots of great restaurants on Las Brisas street to go to.
When we needed a ride to the airport to come home, Juan got us an air conditioned cab and an English speaking driver for 500 pesos
I can’t say enough about this lovely hotel-we were made to feel right at home! I recommend La Posada if you are looking for a small and personalized home away from home (even the cat will greet you every day!)

Disappointing
Stayed for a night, you get what you pay for. Beds were super hard. Shower head leaked into the the rest of the bathroom, ceiling fan had in speed (super high), one of the towels was soaking wet when we arrived and the Bathroom was tiny.
The only big plus is that our room was on the second story (Room #15) and it had an amazing view.
Will definitely not come here again or reccomend this place.

We love La Posada! We felt so welcome and at home. Juan Carlos was wonderful also. We look forward to our return!
La Posada is our home away from home. The breakfast each morning was wonderful, rooms were so clean, grounds perfectly mowed and trimmed. We loved our time there and will be back. We loved Priscilla, the 20 year old kitty who greeted us each morning. The view was beautiful, we were ocean front, just a step away from the beach. Lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the ocean.

15 Years of fun, friends and sun
As usual, the minute the cat heard our voices he came running wanting a treat. The staff gave us our usual loving greetings and hugs. The apartment was ready with our stored bags already delivered. All we needed to do was unpack, relax, and enjoy our next 3 weeks with friends (really like family now). The hotel now has 3 "mini" suites with fridges, cook tops and small kitchenettes. This is great for those who wish to stay for more than just a weekend. Breakfast is available and just as good as always. Some of the staff have been trying very hard to learn more English but then again as visitors to Mexico it would behoove us to learn a little Spanish. Weather was really warm this year. This is our choice of places to go to feel warm, welcome and relaxed. If you are looking for laid back comfort, a pool, the ocean, and a great staff who really care about helping you, this is it. Quiet and quite inexpensive. Be sure you meet Juan Carlos (the owner). He and the staff can help you make your way around town, make restaurant suggestions, shopping, etc. Just ask. They are always there to help.
