The Most Beautiful Hotel in Comala

I had the most beautiful stay at La Paranera Hotel & Relax. Arrival was smooth and easy and check in was thoughtful and personal. The property is stunning and the room was even more stunning than the photos (Gallina room!). We spent time by the pool and enjoyed the fabulous dining, unfortunately did not have time for the spa treatments but heard great things. Would love to come back and spend more time here, this was a fabulous hotel in the heart of such a beautiful pueblo as Comala. Recommend 10/10!

Th rooms were very beautiful. They were very traditional, but not giving you that old run down hotel feeling. The garden was plush with all sorts of beautiful plants like you were in a jungle. It was nice walking on the trails they had through the grounds. The staff were very friendly and most of them spoke English well. One thing I like is that there are only around I think 12 or so rooms, so they can attend to every little need you have and quickly. The food at the restaurant was very good as well.

Very disappointed. I was really looking forward to staying here and although the place was beautiful the service unfortunately dampened our stay. From the rude door man who couldn’t find our reservation, to no one helping us with our luggage, the service just didn’t match the price point. Drinks at the pool were slow and we had to look for someone to take our order. I only saw one other couple staying there the night we stayed; so the lack of attentiveness was unacceptable. Anyway, I would not recommend for the price point unless you are just trying to stay somewhere gated with nice grounds.

Charming place, excellent location, decoration , very remarkable attention from the staff both reception and the gentleman in charge of opening and closing; amenities that are very appreciated and those cute and special details such as the complimentary drink (tube and tejuino) and even the slice of thread of kings (delicious)...
