Stay of peace
We spent 3 nights in this beautiful riad, in the heart of the mellah district of the city of Essaouira. We were satisfied with our stay.
We thank all the staff for their kindness. It was our first visit and it won't be our last.

Run away.
Located near a dump , behind the medina so it is quiet but you have the impression of a cutthroat ... stray dogs screaming at night.
Damn it.
At the height: no hot water every day ( 7 days )
Classic breakfast: pastries and omelette daily with 4 olives , two black and two green . No fruit. Ahh sorry, 1 orange juice.

Lovely staff in a quiet part of the busy medina
The Riad Mellah is in a quite area of the medina, pretty easy to find and close to the north gate if you are being dropped off (much easier than using the main SE gate). The staff were absolutely lovely and the breakfast very good.
The rooms do vary in size - our sea view room was absolutely tiny, with the standard rooms being much bigger.

Best riad in essaouira, nice staff , clean rooms, quite place , fantastic ocean view, nice and fresh breakfast

Very disappointing
Even though the view of the ocean is beautiful, this place was terrible, property in poor condition, our room smelled strongly of mildew, second room offered also had moldy odor. no cups in room (even paper would have been better), dirty ashtray with used tissue greeted us on the deck. The staff were mostly friendly, with the exception of the angry man who carried our bags. We actually left and went somewhere else. Not very clean, but beautiful art.
