A treasure trove of ingredients Feel Izu and Shizuoka!

I stayed at the new building of this "Kumofusa" in Tsukigase Onsen in Izu over the weekend.
After checking in, we took a leisurely dip in the open-air bath on the balcony and had dinner at the onsite restaurant after sunset.
The restaurant was large and all seats were at the counter.
In front of us was a large illuminated zelkova tree through the glass.
It is said to have been a Japanese zelkova tree planted at the end of the Edo period (around 170 years old) and was a powerful tree.
And here is what we got:
◯ Burdock burdock root chawanmushi, grilled oysters
→The burdock root mousse was delicious. It tasted sweet like truffles.
◯Appetizers: Boiled ankimo, grilled prawns with futami, clam noodle sauce, beef taki sushi, grilled prawns, blowfish fried chicken, rape scallops dipped
→ It was a wonderfully gorgeous appetizer platter.
The ankimo and scallops were especially delicious.
◯ Daikon mochi Chinese cabbage Yoshino tailoring
→ It was light broth, but the mochi soaked in broth was moderately sweet and delicious. Izu Chinese cabbage was also good.
◯Building: Que, flounder and tuna lean in the sea near Izu
→It was all fresh. The que was particularly chewy and delicious.
◯ Amagi Benihime Amago (yamame) figure grilled
→I got it from head to tail. It was salty and delicious.
◯ Izu beef fluffy suki
→ It is a sukiyaki of Izu beef that is praised as "a specialty of the cloud style". Mix the sukiyaki with the bubbly egg and you'll get a good smell. It was sweet and delicious sukiyaki meat.
◯ Spiny lobster sea urchin stock pot
→ In a soup stock with sea urchin and miso, spiny lobster and Izu vegetables caught in Izu were put in and boiled. The sea urchin-flavored spiny lobster meat was delicious.
Porridge
→ Sea urchin was placed on the rice. The porridge, soaked in the flavors of spiny lobster and sea urchin, was very delicious.
◯ Assorted homemade desserts
Soft serve ice cream,Cream brulee,Warabi mochi
→ Izu Peninsula It was a rich soft serve ice cream made with milk from Oki Dairy. It was delicious to have the salt and wasabi on hand poured over the cream.
Drinks were Junmai Ginjo sake (Shizuoka's Garyubai and Nagano's Masumi) @ 1,900 yen / go 3 times.
Seafood, beef, vegetables, wasabi, citrus, and other ingredients from Izu or Shizuoka prefectures were used abundantly. I realized once again that Izu and Shizuoka are a treasure trove of ingredients.
The service staff never stopped smiling and were kind to our customers.
It was a delicious and enjoyable meal.
Thanks for the meal.

Highly recommend Ufufu (and a private tour of Izu)

Absolutely wonderful experience top to bottom. The service was top notch and the kaiseki dinners were incredible. We used our private onsen morning and night while listening to the roaring river behind us. 100% recommend Ufufu for a romantic and peaceful getaway. Bonus: we scheduled a tour with Jimmy's Izu Tours, the only English speaking guide on the peninsula, and it was fabulous. He was able to provide transport to and from Ufufu for a reasonable charge.

You disappoint. You disappoint.

Fully private for preference.
Every time I hear the sound of being next to me well, I am drawn back into reality.
Eat less.
Don't expect anything from the money.
Maybe you'll be happy if your partner tells you that you've come all this way and you want to enjoy it.

True Gem to Soak in Japanese nature, cuisine and hot spring in comfort and privacy

Ufufu is the wonderful blend of top rated hotel and Japanese Ryokan hospitality. It only has seven rooms, sophisticated blend of Japanese design and western efficiency, all with private outdoor balcony with private bath with 24 hour supply of hot spring straight from the source. The establishment is located in the tranquil valley facing the river, surrounded with nature of beautiful Japanese countryside in Izu peninsula only two hours, straight from Tokyo by an express train. Cuisine is just wonderful, with personal attention and great presentations. If you want to soak in gift of Japanese nature, hot spring and the best Japanese cuisine with local taste, this is the must visit. Lastly hotel staffs were wonderful. They address to you with your name. I forgot some gadgets in my room and they contacted me before I realized, and sent them back to my home in Tokyo free of charge. True hospitality does not end with your departure.

Top top top

The room , the services , I am totally spoiled, not sure if I will ever be able to enjoy any other service ! Japanese knows that hospitality and does it with such passion . From arriving to leaving , food was delicous and generous ! At the end I had to look up `watashi wa totemo Ippai desu` , `i am sooooo full`, on the pricey side , but considering the fine dining , the private onsen and all the details in the room , you would think it's worth every cent! I would give it a 10 stars if there was such thing . Extremely attentive yet gives you just enough space . Book in advance as they have limited room :) overall thank you so much everyone for the incredible memory of Izu. Arigato gozaimasu !
