Excellent and comfortable hostel with kind and helpful staff

The hostel is very clean (bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas), well-stocked with food for breakfast and plenty of dry food in cupboards. The beds are very comfortable, there are secure lockers and the location of the hostel is central but quiet at night so I could sleep well.
I went on a hike alone and lost my way in the hills. I managed to email the hostel owner, Thomas, who alerted the police and fire brigade who found me before it got dark and freezing. Thomas also drove from Pisa to the hospital in Lucca to pick me up after I'd been checked over at A&E.
Thomas' quick actions could well have saved my life that day! ! I'm very grateful !! He is both responsible and hard-working regarding his hostel and his treatment of others!
I stayed for 7 nights at the hostel and had a happy and comfortable stay!
I'd highly recommend it ☺

Worst hostel owner and hostel

I booked this place for one night stay and paid in advance.
Arrived in time but the owner already left, for long time knocked the door until guests opened and told me that they were told not to open.
When I called the owner it turned out the already sold my place to someone else, but I already paid. He told me I was late for checkin, although lota people could evidence what time I arrived.
Very rude and unpolite personality. Would definitely not recommend this place. They kicked me out in the middle of the night without any solution, asking me to pay extra 50 euro for other room. Luckily I found a better one nearby train station.
Don't waste your time and mood here.

A very respectable place!

While not the best hostel in the world, it was certainly decent enough for just one night. If you are passing through Pisa for the on night then it is a more than respectable place to stay. The room was very clean and had extra blankets, the bathrooms were clean and very usable but had an odd smell (this could have been the person before me and probably had nothing to do with the upkeep of the bathroom). The hostel itself is located in a quite odd area and is not in its own building but I felt that this wasn’t a problem though. The hostel changed £25 per head and other things like towels costed an extra £2 each. Every room comes with a sink so you can wash your hands and face without having to use a public bathroom and the hostel itself has a nice kitchen and a room to chill and relax with a TV with YouTube and Netflix as-well as other various streaming channels. The staff are also helpful and friendly. Overall this is a very good place to stay at if you are passing through Pisa.

Worst scam hostel !! Don't book if you don't want to be scammed

I booked this hostel and paid for that beforehand. When I arrived they told me the bed is sold and I have to pay double if I want to stay in a single room.
Afterwards told me that if not I have to leave the hostel. In other words I got kicked out in the middle of night even though I already paid for my bed.
The service and the owner are the worst scammers I met. Also it's very far from main tourist destinations . Don't recommend booking and on the day of stay finding out that you don't have a bed.

Clean hostel with an excellent location

The owner and staff were friendly, welcoming and kind. The 4 bed female dorm is light and quite spacious, with comfortable beds. All of the beds have working private lights and working plug sockets. The kitchen is clean, practical and has a coffee vending machine. The 2 balconies are nice to sit out on especially on an evening. The location is quiet but central, a few minutes walk to the main shopping street, with plenty of cafes around, and the airport is an easy and safe 20 minute walk away.
The leaning tower of Pisa is a 20 minute walk away. However it's a pleasant and safe walk to do at any time of day or night, so this shouldn't be an issue for most people. The hostel doesn't have a 24 hour reception, so if a person wants to drop a bag off before the check in time of 14h they need to contact the hostel in advance to negotiate this.
