No right price quality ratio
The accommodation has a beautiful location and a nice view. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Also our dog was more than welcome. He was treated very sweetly and he was allowed to be there for everything. Only at the pool he was not allowed, but we find that very understandable because of the hygiene.
The breakfast was really a plus: there were lots of fresh produce and the coffee was very tasty. The dining area and the lawn were neatly groomed. You were also allowed to bring drinks at the pool, as long as they were made of plastic or canned goods. We also think this is a very understandable rule.
The air conditioning in the room worked well and was very pleasant during hot days. However, in our opinion, it should be cleaned properly.
The lunch was also excellent. Every morning you could indicate if you wanted to join us for lunch; for €15 per person we got delicious food. We have absolutely nothing to complain about.
Unfortunately, there were also quite a few points that were disappointing for us. We also talked to other guests about this because we wanted to make sure we weren't too critical. Unfortunately, we came to the same conclusion: for us, the value for money is not right.
The photos on the website do not give a realistic picture of the accommodation. A large part of the photos appear to be AI generated or highly edited. This gives you a different picture when booking than what you actually find. For example, there seems to be a parasol near a sunbed, when in reality there was only one parasol.
We would have liked to have known a number of things beforehand. Then we probably wouldn't have booked:
* There is quite a lot of rubble in several places and the environment around the dining area and the ground floor looks like faded glory in some places.
* Above the pool would be according to the information a place to sit. In reality, there were two broken chairs and a table here. There was nothing to be seen of the games or the board mentioned.
* The pool had a distinctive yellow border along the waterline. This is not visible in the photos. In addition, the water became increasingly murky during our stay.
* The pillows/head sections of the sunbeds folded down regularly, allowing them to fall against your head.
* For about 16 guests there was only one umbrella. When we asked if there was still a parasol available, we were told that there was no extra parasol and that we had to make do with it. For a stay of about €1,000 per week, we think this is really too little.
* The bathroom was clearly outdated. We do not find that a problem in itself, but the hygiene unfortunately left something to be desired. There was a lot of mold along the bath rim, but mold was also visible on the floor and along the windows. In addition, there was regularly a clear sewage smell in the bathroom.
* Two other rooms were empty during our stay. We took a look there and also there we saw mold in the edges of the shower.
Dinner would also be offered, but it was not clear to us beforehand that this was only one evening. We were sorry about that.
All in all, we are sorry that we had this experience. The location, the view, the friendly owner, the fact that our dog was so welcome, the breakfast, the good working air conditioning and especially the lunch are absolute pluses. At the same time, in our opinion, there are too many things that are outdated, insufficiently maintained or not as presented in the photos.
For the price you pay, we expected considerably more. The accommodation does not live up to the price in our opinion at this time.
