Family hospitality

We stayed at this hotel which is located in Comano on the road that leads from Aulla to the Lagastrello pass. Sober and well-maintained property managed by the owner Mr. Umberto assisted by his sister. Parking in front of the hotel. Availability of a large pool, rooms not huge but more than livable. We also stopped for dinner on the beautiful outdoor terrace. Fast service. A thank you for the family hospitality

Beautiful location. Only there for one night so can’t really comment on things to do or sights to see.

Since the booking was made for the same day, I wasn’t able to select a higher-priced option that includes free cancellation. I booked this hotel by mistake, as the drive turned out to be too long and we wouldn’t be able to arrive before check-in time. I understand this was my error, but I tried to cancel the reservation within 30 minutes of booking, and the system didn’t allow it. I also attempted to reschedule for a later date, but that request was declined.
I contacted both the hotel and Hotels.com, but haven’t been able to find a resolution. I would really appreciate it if the hotel could be a bit more flexible in a situation like this.

Luckily we only stayed one night

Among the hundreds of structures where, for work or leisure I stayed, I do not remember worse.
The bathroom was indecently dirty. I'll attach some photos. The low resolution will probably prevent you from seeing the many pubic hairs behind the ramshackle bathroom bellows door, but the shower door and drain should provide an idea of the total lack of hygiene. Even the cracks on the toilet seat were inserted in the context...
The room was tiny and badly laid out. Other than the 17 m2 declared!
In order to open the second motorcycle suitcase, certainly not huge, we had to put it on the ground, after putting out the door the only chair present.
The bed, rickety and with a destroyed mattress, amplified the slightest movement of the other person. A nightmare!
In the morning, at checkout, under a generic "half board" heading, which hid the individual prices and had not been requested in the booking, we were charged 50 euros for 2 seconds with a side of potatoes from the company canteen, a small plastic bottle of half a liter of water and a Third party bottle without label of bad bulk wine that we had consumed the night before (in a hurry, because at 9 the kitchen closed ..).
Only after paying, to avoid controversy or misunderstanding, I pointed out to the 2 owners the problems encountered. The expression on their faces spoke volumes about their total disinterest...
I will ask the competent office of the province of Massa for the criteria according to which they could award 3 stars to such a structure.
Last note, perhaps useful for fugitives, we were not asked for documents.

Little cooperation... very rude.

We book a room by phone. Upon arrival they let us choose between two rooms... one microscopic and the other more livable. We choose the second but shortly after we realize that some wasps are making their nest somewhere by accessing from the hole where the window leaf catch slips in when it closes. As a result...: either we keep the window always closed or we live with the cute insects. But we are allergic to their stings so we ask if it is possible to kindly move into the “micro camera” we had seen. Initially it seemed that there were no problems but then, since we had already removed a bedspread from one of the two beds, the owner began rudely to complain that she would have to redo the room incurring costs. They offer to come and exterminate with a special spray but we are afraid that they may enter and remain in the room wasps knocked out that could sting us after they wake up (remember that we are allergic). We insist on having the room changed. The usual rude owner at this point, hands me the key to the second room in a bad way and says “try to choose well this time though!!!”. How? I don't understand... we didn't go to complain because we don't like the color of the room but because there are insects potentially dangerous to us. At this point since the owner kept complaining we wanted to call the local ASL and report the situation but not wanting to waste time we told her that there would be no problem because we would leave immediately. “Better go!!! But you pay for my room” was the only comment of the owner. Not an excuse, not a word of understanding. The only one who tried to keep us was the owner’s brother. Ultimately... we paid for one of the two nights we had booked and it was not counted what was consumed for lunch (one caprese and a quatrain of wine). The owner will certainly be very good in the kitchen but in terms of dealing with people (in more customers who pay her) has learned nothing. Stay away from me.
