Friendly helpful manager and staff. Good food in restaurant.

We arrived in the midst of the heavy metal festival. Kata the friendly manager had worried that it would be noisy however it wasn't and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Interesting history to this hotel which has been renovated internally and external renovations are being completed. We could park the hire car at the rear of the hotel. Room was comfortable and clean with bathroom. Breakfast was good and all the staff we met were very friendly and interesting to speak to.

Beautiful View, Everything worked but Average

We booked Hotel Capitano after getting our dates wrong and we had to cancel our original hotel as a result. We couldn't change the date because they were sold out. However, when we pulled up to the hotel, it was partly under construction. Barriers in the entry, windows were worn on half of the hotel.
We walked in and they were calculating $150 US to Kronas. Our room was upstairs over the entry. The view was spectacular, a direct ocean view. The shower was the tiniest shower I have ever seen. But everything worked. Bonus.
However, at around 11:30pm the noise started. There was karaoke, chatter and laughter. We figured this was a small town, so this must be the gathering place. It got quiet around 1:30ish.
We awoke the next morning for our free breakfast. Toast, jam, butter, coffee. That's it.
The staff apologized for the noise, stating it was a bridal shower. We didn't complain, the price was cheaper than most hotels around.
However, when we got the bill notification for the room charge it came out to be $175US. hmmmm. We moved on by then, and just chalked it up to help the economy. Watch your charges!

Dinner

We had a dinner here. Cod and artic really Well cocked and a soup of the day. I suggested it for dinner for sure. The owner is a very nice guy.
For sure it's a good Place to eat.

Wonderful meal

We were staying up the road but decided to have a meal here. It was a beautiful home cooked meal. We had pan fried cod and Arctic char. The cod was cooked to perfection as was the Arctic char. The waitress even asked me when she should stop filling my glass of wine. Having being travelling for 2 weeks now I would rate this as the best meal I've had. It touched my heart!!

Good accomodation for one night

The hotel is centraly located near the main street. The stuff is very nice, the rooms are clean and big enough. The hotel itself would need some renovation. There were no stuff in the morning when we had breakfast, so the guests need to take plates by themselves, when we ran out of bread, we were wondering by ourselves over the kitchen, looking for some more bread, so that was not really proffessional.
