Fell in Love with Wayanad in the Monsoon! ❤️️
I actually fell in love with the monsoon here. Sitting in our room watching the rain, looking across at the beautiful mountains disappearing into the fog and mist, was such a peaceful and unforgettable experience. There was something magical about simply enjoying the rain surrounded by so much greenery and natural beauty.
Initially, we wondered how we were going to spend three days there with so much rain, but somehow the time just flew by! The resort had plenty of indoor games and activities that we could enjoy together as a family. Whenever the rain gave us a little break, we walked around the property and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately, because of the weather, we couldn’t experience their famous trekking, campfire, and some of the other outdoor activities — but surprisingly, we never felt bored or that we were missing out.
The staff deserves a special mention. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and they made us feel at home throughout our stay.
And the food — absolutely incredible! Every meal had a wonderful variety, including authentic Kerala dishes, and we genuinely looked forward to every meal. One of my favorite memories was the evening tea time, with tea and coffee accompanied by a delicious selection of traditional Kerala snacks and finger foods. It was such a lovely touch and perfect for the rainy weather.
The evening DJ, games, and activities were another highlight. The staff did a fantastic job getting everyone involved, including guests from different families, and created such a fun atmosphere. The kids also had a wonderful time, especially in the swimming pool.
We came expecting the monsoon might limit our vacation, but instead, it became one of the things I loved most about our stay. ❤️ Sitting together as a family, watching the rain and mist over the mountains, eating amazing Kerala food, playing games, and simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings made this trip very special.
Wild Planet Bana Heights gave us a completely different appreciation for Wayanad during the monsoon. We left with wonderful family memories and would absolutely love to come back again — perhaps next time in a different season so we can experience the trekking and outdoor activities too!
Highly recommended for families, and especially for anyone wondering whether Wayanad is worth visiting during the monsoon — **yes, absolutely!** ️❤️

A more luxurious version of Jungle lodges - great views of the mountains and valley. Lots of activities.
+ The cottages with valley view are very nice and spacious for a family of three.
+ The staff is very nice (and so is manager Nikhil) and always serve with smile. whenever we were late for meals or tea they waited extra time for us
Cons
- The basic mountain view rooms are not great (esp the ones in main building - please avoid changes. Cleartrip booked us there but the team helped us upgrade. The pcis on the cleartrip site are not correct.

Felt totally rejenuwated & relaxed.

Beautiful resort with an amazing view of nature.
The management and staff are extremely co-operative ,organized and very helpful.
