Quirky but good

The rooms are outdated but clean. Has the world's smallest shower. But, location is great (just a short walk to the waterfront and metro). Staff extremely friendly. OK for the price.

For a "short sleepover" quite

Stayed in a hotel for one night before flying home. The hotel is not new, it is noticeable that the renovations were done only cosmetic, the whole concept of the 1970s-1980s. Of the disadvantages, I note the small bathroom and the tiny shower, which requires certain sports skills and slimness. Rooms show some chafing and cracking. Pros more: excellent central location, everything in walking distance, from the sights and coast to the market and bus to the airport, inexpensive price by current standards, balcony, ability to insulate the room from noise and light with curtains and wooden shutters, refrigerator in the room, which for 2* rarity, good mattresses, quite large room area for a hotel of this class. In general, if you need to spend the night "simple" and inexpensive 1-2 nights, the hotel can be recommended.Nearby there are hotels in worse condition and noticeably more expensive, so "Amalie" also wins. For a longer holiday with certain requests, I advise you to look for another hotel.

Great stay

Our stay at Hotel Amalia was excellent in every respect. The hotel stands out for its central location, cleanliness and especially for the high level of service by the staff, who responded with professionalism and courtesy to every need.
We would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Haroula for the impeccable cleanliness and care of our rooms always willing and with a smile. Also, a big bravo to Mrs. Litsa in the breakfast area, for her kindness, willingness and friendly presence that made our breakfasts even more enjoyable.
Overall, a very friendly and helpful environment, which we would highly recommend. We will definitely choose it again on our future visit to Thessaloniki.

Limitally satisfied

Positively the location goes everywhere very quickly. Like an old hotel without air conditioning but with the old system as ventilation, however these are quite warm and without lighting it.The bathroom tragically small and old but satisfactorily clean.Even at 3 a.m. the check in and check out too early

1974 in a bottle

A hotel frozen in time, somewhere around 1974. See photos. It feels like being in a film set. The hotel staff have a challenge. Which they deal with in a charming way. The hotel is not comfortable, the shared areas unwelcoming, beds too small with hard mattress and concrete pillows. Having said all this, it has a certain disarming quality.
