Absolutely loved the Lighthouse Hotel. Perched on the top of a hill with a gorgeous sea view and a lovely seating area to enjoy the view. Just a few minutes drive from Faros Beach, which is a small village with gorgeous restaurants (we went to Angie’s and it was delicious).
Anthony, one of the owners, couldn’t have been more helpful. He made great recommendations and helped us to book restaurants and bars to ensure we got a table.
The breakfast was also lovely, Maria made lots of homemade delights, savoury & sweet.
The hotel and surrounding area was spotless. Highly recommend this hotel.

Disappointing
The hotel is showing its age, however the rooms are spacious, with plenty of space on the terrace. Unfortunately the place is hit by strong north winds, so you can't enjoy the breeze on the terrace. There were no screens so we were visited by several insects during our stay (mosquitoes, flies, spiders). There was also an issue with the shower, a lot of water fell on the floor (it had no curtain or door), and due to the absence of a screen, you could not easily open the windows to help the drying process. The breakfast is mediocre, but the place is pleasant. Well maintained gardens, we didn't use the pool to have a view, plenty of private space for parking. I daresay they should come down a bit with the prices they are asking, or pay attention to the shortcomings of the accommodation. Especially for a hotel in the middle of nowhere, which makes it quite dysfunctional. It's a pity to prepare your vacation and when you arrive at such a hotel in the dead of August to be so alienated

Booking not acknowledged and TERRIBLE service
We booked a top floor studio and paid a deposit to secure the booking. After chasing staff for confirmation, they told us that a "travel agent" had made an error re a large wedding party booking and that there was no longer space at the hotel. This was after we paid a deposit and cancelled our other hotel. When they offered us maisonsalaplage down the road, we accepted as accommodation in Sifnos at this stage was hard to come by. Maisonsalaplage was a private apartment, but unfortunately it didn't come with what we were hoping for in the hotel: breakfast, daily cleaning, access to the pool, and someone on sight to help organise taxis etc. In addition to that, the lounge area downstairs was made up of two tiny beds (we were only 2 people and there were beds made for 6!) so we had no sofas or seating areas in the lounge rendering it useless. Further, when the manager mentioned the local cats, we got to know all too well within 30 seconds of opening the terrace door when one hopped in our room and sprayed our bed. Perhaps the worst of this all was no apology and a whole host of emails that went unanswered when asking about breakfast, taxi numbers etc. That was, of course, until the day of checkout when the balance was due when the manager was incredibly punctual in telling us how much we owed and when we could pay it. Once we went to do so, we had to look through their records to show where our deposit had come through because they couldn't find it. All in all, a nightmare of an experience. Maisonsalaplage is a fine apartment (made good because of it's terrace view) but not what we asked for, rude staff, and terrible communication / organisation.

Greek couple
Vintage style brand new decorative villas . Very helpful and kind hostess . 10/10 clean . Swimming pool for afternoon chilling . Traditional breakfast . The two musician brothers that own the place are kind and funny and if you are lucky you can hear them play smooth piano and jazz trumpet.
