We were warmly welcomed at reception.
Our room was perfect with quality furniture, fittings and bathroom products.
Breakfast was a delight. All fresh home made products. Very tasty in a lovely relaxed environment either in the garden or balcony over looking the street.
Would def stay again if returning to Crete

Our room was extremely comfortable and quiet.
Breakfasts were varied and delicious.
Nike, the manager, could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
We hope to return soon.

Cozy, nice boutique hotel
Breakfast was definitely fine! Nicely cared for, very tasty and varied with lots of fresh and homemade preparations.
The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Only downside of the room: the room was located next to the kitchen of the hotel so we heard the preparations of breakfast well in the morning.
We definitely recommend this small scale hotel.

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful village and with the most wonderful staff made for a perfect stay in Crete.
Breakfasts are to die for! The most interesting choice of foods I've ever known on a breakfast buffet and every day there was something new to try. Everything was prepared by the wonderful Nikki or her lovely daughter Nancy and beautifully presented and plentiful.
This is a true gem of a hotel managed by Nikki - a charming and vibrant woman whose hospitality was second to none, who was incredibly helpful and was also tremendous fun with a great sense of humour.
We stayed in the Silene suite on the top floor of the hotel. It has a private and very large terrace overlooking the garden and plunge pool. It was simply perfect!
We breakfasted every morning in the garden which is really peaceful - it was a lovely way to start each day.
There are several sun beds in the garden surrounding the plunge pool. The pool is small, spotlessly clean and perfect for dipping into to cool off in on hot afternoons when we came back from a day out.
We spent most of our days at Spilies Beach which is a short drive from the hotel.
Would highly recommend a drive into the mountains up to Margarites and on to the Museum of Archeology at Eleftherna.
A day trip to Rethymnon was also a good day out.
Our evenings were spent wandering out from the hotel and down the pretty stone road for just 200 metres to the excellent Olive Tree Bar for cocktails and draft Mythos before heading off to one of the many excellent tavernas for dinner - all within easy walking distance.
So don't even pause before booking a stay at Z Boutique Hotel if you're looking for a peaceful relaxing stay in a quiet typically Cretan village where there are so many great places to eat.
