A night in the countryside near the donkeys.
A couple that truly has a sense of hospitality, attentive and warm.
Large room and quality bedding.
There is a large, well-equipped kitchen available, but no stores or restaurants nearby.

What a find!
We stayed en route to our own place in Brittany because the ferry was delayed. What a find! Peter and Joy gave us clear instructions and the room was lovely and cool even after a day of 39 degrees. Very pleasant couple, a lovely breakfast and the hand-drawn wall-map was genius. Thanks again, Simon & Bev

Magnifique!
We really enjoyed our brief stay. Beautiful grounds and great accommodation. Our Great Dane loved it so much he broke out and went on his own little adventure (thanks for bringing him back, Peter)! We hope to return next Summer. Best of luck for the future!

Great B&B and fabulous hosts!
We had a wonderful over-night stay at the Le Val Borel Normandy Inn, using it as a convenient stopping point for between le Mont St Michel and Honfleur. The hosts, Peter and Joy were welcoming and delightful. Due to the Covid situation, Peter and Joy had extra health measures in place and took safety precautions seriously.
We stayed in the Oak Room which was perfect for our family of four (including two adult children). The room, with en-suite bathroom and shower, was clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. The setting of the lush grounds was peaceful and really relaxing. We woke up to an expansive breakfast which included home-made jams!
Our only regret was that our stay was so short!

Pure relaxation in the French Countryside
Spent 6 nights there and had the single most relaxing week of my life. The surrounding countryside is nothing short of utterly idyllic. The owners, Peter and Joy are an absolute pleasure and could not have been more friendly and accomodating.
Close enough to shops that there's no chance of you starving, and far enough away from everything that you can completely escape reality, Normandy Inn is an absolute hidden gem of a place.
The grounds are wonderful, and worth exploring in their own right. The menagerie of donkeys, ducks, cats and one (very, very special) goat, are a wonder to behold, and are only enhanced by the lush trees and beautiful countryside.
The rooms themselves are exquisite, en suite and immaculately tidy with an exceptionally comfortable bed (which when combined with the peaceful atmosphere and total lack of noise pollution provide amazing sleep).
If you get a chance, take a moment to look up at the stars when the sky is clear, you'll never want to return to the light polluted city again!
Overall I could not possibly overstate how absolutely wonderful the Normandy Inn is and I can't wait to visit again!
