Wonderful first impression

Although the hotel was booked primarily for its proximity to the venue in Menerbes, for a wedding we were attending, we did not appreciate how wonderful the hotel and its staff are. From corresponding with us before our arrival, helping us to arrange airport transfers and numerous local taxis - both in advance and whilst we were staying, the staff could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. They were cheerful and friendly, they remembered our names and we were made to feel extremely welcome. The hotel itself is delightful; old stone and historic features are combined with contemporary architectural elements to great effect. The gardens, numerous terraces and pool areas are particularly lovely. There hotel is quiet small and it felt intimate - communal areas, the gardens and pool were rarely busy, and it felt more like staying in a luxurious large villa than a hotel. The food was lovely, with breakfast being a highlight - fresh local produce and lots of choice. Despite not having a formal restaurant, the so called "Snack Menu" - available in the communal areas and around the pool until 20:30 every day was extremely well considered and again fresh and delicious. In addition we frequented some of the numerous cafes and restaurants in Gordes which were a delightful 15-20 minute stroll up the hill. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Le Jas de Gordes is the place to stay if you love that Provence-like setting

I've always wanted to stay at this hotel & finally had a chance during a holiday weekend. The hotel exceeded all my expectations. I barely left the grounds spending most of the time by the pool & enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. I stayed in room 14 on the ground floor w/a patio overlooking the gardens & the AC was was wonderful after a day out. The staff were very welcoming & friendly plus the lobby had various information of the surroundings areas & a bar. Breakfast buffet was included & it was delicious & very satisfying down to the little jars of honey lavender that I greatly appreciated. The grounds were large & there were many seating areas to choose from. About a 5 minute walk from the hotel was the iconic parking/look-out point of Gordes & another 15 - 20 minutes walk into the center of town. This area & hotel is a perfect location for beauty, quietness & accessible to other towns in the area. All in all this hotel did not disappoint & I will definitely return.
The only negative is the outlet/plugs were only on one side of the bed, but it's really not a problem.

A very beautiful experience

A quality establishment! We were very well welcomed upon our arrival. Staff very attentive and full of good advice.
The rooms are impeccable and spotlessly clean. Ours was on the ground floor with a nice little terrace allowing access to the pool.
Perfect breakfast to the sound of cicadas with a varied buffet and quality products.
We will certainly return!

Delightful hotel and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We had a double room on the lower level of the block (the least expensive rooms) and they are a bit dark. Their only source of natural light is via the door you enter. They are a bit long and thin inside. It’s better to pay slightly more and go for a room on the upper level. That said, the interior and exterior of the hotel were lovely, breakfast was very good and the price was very reasonable in high season so I would recommend the hotel for sure
