Great location and service.

We used the hotel as a base for visiting Dijon once more. Great central location within walking distance to many attractions. Also went to the Prenois race track for a day of high speed adventure, while my wife enjoyed the spa at the hotel. Too bad the famed restaurant was closed during our stay Sun-Tue. But maybe that is a reason to return ...

6 star breakfast

An amazing and unique hotel. I was on 3rd floor which can only be accessed after lift to 2nd floor then stairs. This is due to it being an historic building. Staff insist on carrying your luggage so no issue. Beautiful room well appointed. Slept very well indeed. Well situated for any sightseeing or meals out. Breakfast though was magnificent. So many choices and eggs cooked to order by staff. I had a cheese/ham omelette which was a triumph. Plus there were 2 chefs amuse bouche which were so good. Best hotel of the trip possibly

Wonderfull hotel, great service & facilities and very helpfull staff. Breakfast was lovely and the whole familie had a great stay.
Hotel is placed in the middle of the city making it super easy to explore Dijon.

An amazing stay in the heart of Dijon

I had a wonderful experience at the Hostellerie Du Chapeau Rouge. Upon arrival, the staff were warm and inviting AND helped me practice français. They even gave me a complimentary room upgrade because I was staying 5 nights.
The room and bed were very comfortable. Minimal noise from other rooms, none from outside. Shower and water pressure were great. Blackout curtains did the job. WiFi password does get changed every few days, but I appreciate that security. Housekeeping did a great job during my stay. I called the view from my window "Ratatouille Rooftop." I loved it.
I don't think the location could be any better. Easy 10-minute walk from train station and situated on one side of the old town. I walked everywhere: old town historic spots, the botanical garden, natural history museum, and the new Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin. And SO MANY great restaurants.
Thank you very much to the staff for helping a solo traveler feel so welcome!

The staff went above-and-beyond to be helpful and accommodating! They also spoke perfect English, making this a nice respite for some weary American travelers. The room was clean and well-appointed, with a fabulous jetted tub that really made my day. The location is perfect, with easy access to the train station and all of the best spots to visit in Dijon. I loved our stay there! I'm just sad we didn't have the chance to try the wonderful restaurant.
