Situated in the heart of Savoie in the town of Challes-les-Eaux, this charming 15th-century chateau offers luxurious and comfortable accommodation.

Stunning property and a great location.
Excellent restaurant with a vast selection of wines and great food selection and presentation.
There is room for improvement in the rooms, the carpets are the same carpets that were there 10 years ago when we last stayed here and are stained and in poor condition in the hallway.
The bed pillows are sub-standard foam pillows and only 1 per person.
Even though this property has only a 3* rating, this is unacceptable and not in keeping with the hotels potential given the other amenities.

Mistake after mistake
Yesterday, Monday, my husband booked for this noon. ...
We arrive for the meal... No service at noon. The receptionist made a mistake with the day and booked us for Wednesday..
Mistakes are common... always to the detriment of the customer...
And the staff's judgment.
We are coming less and less often..

We had a very enjoyable one-night stay at the Chateau. We had booked online through hotels.com. When we arrived the check-in person said that dinner was sold out. That was disappointing. However I went online and booked dinner (so that was confusing) at the hotel. The dinner wasn't very special, but the staff were very helpful, especially the sommelier. The pool was welcome and with the exception of no lift everything was as expected.

Amazing hotel in a sadly boring town. High quality furnishings and fittings and ever helpful staff.
Only one disappointment! The sunbeds by the pool were old, decrepit and seriously uncomfortable. Not up to the standards for rest of the hotel.
We recommend some new ones please .

The property has a lot of potential, considering it's history. It's just way under staffed, and the room cleaning was terrible, our beds were not made.
I would recommend thinking twice booking, even though the property itself was nice.
