Lunch
Dropped into Le Home restaurant for lunch and enjoyed a very good very French meal. One of us on plat du jour, the other on à la carte smoked salmon salad. Both generous portions and more importantly very well cooked and presented. We will be back!

charming
ok, the rooms are very tired and need a re fit but they are cheap so what do you expect !the hosts are lovely people and the whole place has great atmosphere , food is to die for, if in doubt what to choose then go for the plate d'jour, excellent food, lovely little viliage/ town and a fun place, worth a stay,

Would not go back
We did not stay at this hotel but visited for lunch. The décor is nice and the waitress very friendly and tried to explain, in her very limited English, what the dishes were. Her teenage assistant would rather have been elsewhere and did not smile once the entire time we were there. We both ordered steaks, one well done and one medium and a plate of vegetables between us.
The steaks arrived fairly quickly but neither was as expected, both were very rare. I will admit that this could have been a communication issue so we said nothing and proceeded to eat them. They were served on cold plates and as they had not been cooked through they went cold very quickly. After a while we asked about the vegetables. They arrived just as we finished our steaks followed shortly after by the bread rolls. For the price I expect better service and a decent meal. There was no use in complaining at the time as we do not have sufficient French and the staff had little or no English.
Definitely off my Christmas card list.

An Excellent Lunch
Definitely one of the best Perigourdi
ne Salads I have eaten. Looks a nice place to stay as well.
Belves is a very pleasant hill top town with stunning views and many beautiful buildings. We'll be back to see more of it when it's cooler. ( currently 34C!)

Great lunch!
A damp Monday lunchtime in the pretty town of Belves was turned into a treat when we discovered this lovely little restaurant. Friendly staff, good food and great value at 14€50 per person for the set menu of four courses. Lots of help when I tried my limited french, all good fun!
