10/10 stay with no faults

Could not fault this stay at all! We did a lot of research of cabins/igloos in the area and this came out top for the price, location and the fact you get a private bathroom. Everything felt brand new, the underfloor heating in the bathroom was so cosy and we never felt cold at all. The breakfast was delivered to our cabin every morning and was plenty selection of yoghurt, pastries, juice, fruit and sandwiches. The check in and checkout was seamless with us arriving at 9pm and got straight to our chalet with a code to the door meant no need for a key. We had a tv in the room with YouTube and Netflix and the wifi was speedy and easy to connect to.
I would highly recommend hiring a car if you’re going to stay here as it’s quite remote and the public transport is not very accessible so you would have to rely on taxi’s. But the car park is free and the drive from Rovaniemi and the airport is very easy.
The perks of it being remote meant there is no light pollution and the main lights outside are turned off at 9pm meaning it’s even better conditions for viewing the northern lights. We were soooo lucky to see the aurora on our last night from our bed!!! It was absolutely amazing and it paid off not paying for a tour to be out in the cold all night trying to chase them, when we could see them in our pj’s from the warm bed.
I’ve already recommended this stay to family and friends as it was a highlight of an already very memorable trip. 10/10 perfect stay.

Need of improvement

Location and chalet with panorama window great, sauna experience great
No parking spot next to the chalet
Stay very anonymous in general (check-in/out via smartphone)
Breakfast ok, delivered in bag like from a supermarket, no fresh coffee (no coffee machine in the chalet only soluble coffee pulver)
All in all price-performance not good due to the expandablae service for the expensive price

The breakfasts were extremely practical and delicious, which was wonderful. The room and bathroom were spotless. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The view from the room was also absolutely amazing. It was a great experience.

Really disappointing

We were unfortunately not able to proceed with our trip due to the war situation in the UAE and air space closure. A situation completely out of our control. We informed the hotel a good two weeks in advance of our booking but they refused to assist us in any way. Partial refund, a credit that can be used later or changing the booking name since we were able to find someone else willing to buy the stay from us. They would blatantly ignore our attempts to communicate with them and if they did respond it would be with vague answers. I understand they have a non-refund policy but one would expect some sort of support in such unprecedented time. I can’t comment on the property; but god forbid you face an issue during your trip don’t except any support from the management.
