Everything was top notch: Clean, mini kitchen, breakfast. We used the free local van to go to the adult night at the AZ Science Center. It worked out great!

The property is a little older, but the staff was excellent and very helpful. The shuttle service was fantastic. It was a great bargain considering we were downtown. I would definitely stay there again.

MEDIOCRE PROPERTY

The only advantage of this hotel is location. It is close to Chase Field and in downtown. I'm titanium elite and we've stayed here before with no issues. This time a different attitude. Front desk wasn't rude but unfriendly. No acknowledgement about status. No greeting. Just seemingly bored. We booked two nights for events. We came back after first day to find the room hadn't been cleaned. Front desk argued that we had been told upon check-in it would only be cleaned every other day, which we had not been told. Even an attitude when I simply asked for replacement coffee packets. Some mold in the bathroom. Nothing terrible just not worth the price. Too many better alternatives downtown. Marriott can do much better than this property.

Hotel was well maintained (between good and excellent) considering an upcoming renovation is scheduled for 2027. Property over 20 years old. It will look even better after 2027.. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good - nice variety of items both hot and cold.

We stayed 3 nights to be close to Chase Field for MLB games. This location was wonderful, the staff was helpful and friendly. And the room was clean and comfortable. The free shuttle to any place within 2 miles (except if they were in route to/from airport) was very nice, we were able to use it two nights, the third we used Uber. The only negative was the pool in the evening, We enjoyed a cocktail by the pool nightly. Sunday night, there were 36 (we counted) adults , teens and kids, that we did not see at any breakfasts or around the hotel. But seemed there may have been one room sold, with the remaining people guests of a guest. It was strange that they all knew each other and playing games in the pool with a ball. The only "group" evident at hotel was tae kwan do participants, and this group was not related. One person in the Jacuzzi threatened to complain to management if the ball hit her one more time. Then the all settled down (even though she asked nicely twice before with no result). So I think, most of them (34) were not staying there. Other than that. All was wonderful.
