Must Visit!

Words can't begin to describe how amazing our experience was here! We hosted a group of clients for the MVAAFF, and the entire staff here made sure everyone was taken care of to the highest degree. The hotel itself was beautiful and had everything we could have needed. I can't recommend this hotel enough, and can't wait to go back!

The Faraway Martha's Vineyard — Exceptional Stay, Book Early!

This wasn't my first stay at The Faraway, and it didn't disappoint. The property continues to exceed expectations, and the service is truly exceptional.
I do want to note that booking can be a bit challenging. I understand August is peak season, but I'd strongly recommend reserving well in advance to secure your dates.
That said, the hotel itself is exceptional, and the staff make the experience. Shanay in particular deserves special recognition...she worked every day of our stay and consistently delivered outstanding customer service. She was knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout our visit.
We'll definitely be back, just booking earlier next time!

Disappointing stay...lacks basic service and amenities

hotel did not meet the minimum standard of a 2 star hotel. this is 4 star and it did not meet that unfortunately and at $1500/night it was very disappointing. Lacked basic amenities and service.

Beautiful. Perfect location. Expensive.

Beautiful. Perfect location. Expensive. Don't think that 'stocked bar' in your room means that anything is complementary or that a little chocolate is waiting for you. It's not. All pay as you go, which is fine but not what we expected. 12 bikes to borrow, so we waited our turn. Friendly staff .. just didn't layout everything a newcomer wants to know about in terms of Edgartown and MV.

Going above and beyond

Cannot say enough great things about our stay at Faraway in Edgartown! We had a suite that was perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) including a kitchen with a dish washer and fridge. I somehow forgot to request a crib (!!!) and unfortunately, the desk informed us that they were all out of cribs for the first night. Kicking myself for forgetting to reserve one for our baby, I was wondering if we were going to be able to stay. And then the general manager went out of his way to contact another hotel and secure a crib for us and it was delivered to our room in less than an hour!!! What service! My second shout out is to the bartending staff at the pool which were top notch and they have the best sushi which you can enjoy poolside. Highly recommend the whole experience and my favorite place to stay in Edgartown!
