Don’t recommend at all
The reception was unprofessional: the staff member was unpleasant and provided no assistance with the online check-in, which complicated arrival.
The room was not clean and had a persistent unpleasant smell, which greatly affected the quality of the stay.
Another important point is that cash payment is required and credit cards are not accepted, which is impractical and unusual. Additionally, the refund policy for unused nights is unclear and was not explained properly.
Overall, the establishment gives the impression of being more focused on maximizing revenue than on providing a good customer experience. The value for money is not justified.

Avoid This Hostel – Bed Bugs and Unprofessional Staff
Instead of handling the situation professionally, the receptionist was rude, dismissive, and downright inappropriate. He not only refused to look at the evidence but also denied the presence of bed bugs entirely, despite what we showed him. His attitude made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe, especially as two young women traveling alone.
We decided to leave right away and not spend the night, as we clearly didn’t feel safe or respected. On top of that, we were forced to pay in cash, because — conveniently — their card machine “wasn’t working.” It felt shady and untrustworthy from the beginning.
We returned the next day to speak with a different receptionist, who told us they were "working on getting our money back." That was over a week ago, and since then, they have ignored all of our emails and phone calls. No updates, no apology — nothing.
There were also no Wi-Fi connections in the rooms (only in the common areas), and worse, no hot water in the showers — which made it impossible to properly wash after a long travel day.
All in all, this place was unhygienic, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful toward guests. We’ve stayed in many hostels, and this was by far the worst experience we’ve had. Do not stay at San Fermin. Spend your money somewhere clean, safe, and respectful.
