Beautiful hospitable hotel suitable for families
Transparent review of HM Gran Fiesta.
I booked a 5 night stay for our first family holiday with our 6 month baby.
Two days before we were due to check in, I amended the booking to two nights and found further accommodation for the remaining stay. It meant a hefty alteration fee, which was upsetting, but I did this based on the reviews which was quite scathing around hygiene and safety. I couldn’t cancel the whole booking so 2 nights I thought would be OK. Given it was our first trip with my baby I didn’t want to risk anything.
I was nervous as what to expect and to my pleasant surprise I need not have worried. I write this review particularly for families travelling with small children.
I found the hotel to be very hospitable, hygienic and a perfect visit for our family vacation.
The pros:
1. The staff were so friendly. There was a particular lady at breakfast who would welcome us and spend time talking to our daughter in such a sweet caring manner. The Assistant Manager Alberto also kindly extended our check out time so we could spend time on the rooftop pool side, as it had been closed in the afternoons for private events. That was a much appreciated gesture. Also when hungry in the evening as we hadn’t had dinner, a guy from the reception team gave us some apples.
2. We were given a cot for the baby (free of charge) and although she didn’t use it at night, it was good for day time chill.
3. The room we booked was spacious, enough for all our luggage, the cot, and space to walk around. The balcony was also great for us to chill on when baby was asleep in the room. Bathroom is a decent size too.
4. The lounge areas are beautifully designed with gorgeous ocean views. Whether chilling on the rooftop pool or inside the lobby area, there was a sense of relaxation. There’s also an ATM in the lobby and water refreshments.
5. The location of the hotel sits on the promenade but away from the bust party side of the area. Close to good restaurants and a bus into town…
The Improvements:
1. I’m big on quality of the food, although there was a range of food at breakfast. I found the hot buffet food to be average and lukewarm… the pastries were good and coffee decent. And they serve prosecco which seemed to be a hit with guests
2. The lifts are an issue, they are tiny and fitting a pram in there is tricky - especially if you’re making several trips to your room. The Sky bar lift is slightly bigger, so we stuck to that mainly but you have to be prepared to wait sometimes 5-7 minutes.
3. The pools. Both the outdoor pools were too cold to use. As an adult even tipping my feet in was too cold. I was looking forward to having my baby swimming but it wasn’t possible. I would suggest making one at least warmer. The indoor pool also seems out of use -it was closed off and look in need of some TLC.
Overall, if I were to be in that side of Mallorca again, I would stay at this hotel and probably skip the breakfast.

8 nights at HM Gran Fiesta
Overall I would say it is 8/10.
The receptionist gave us a room with a great view - 6th floor with sunset (because it was available and we did not book any specific room in advance)! We were also hoping for an early check-in, but that was not possible, but there are lots to do there, so no worries.
We also appreciated the free lemonade at the lobby. Food (breakfast and dinner) was good enough, special themed nights, which I guess are repeating every week. Some were better, some less. The variety is good, everyone can find something, lot's of fruit, even ice cream (cheaper kind) available.
The room was also good enough, good space, clean. Some of the details were not so great, but acceptable. Biggest issue was the sound - their walls are like paper, you can hear the neighbor and people on the floor quite well...there was also a slight gap between the entrance door and the wall, so no wonders about the non-soundproof thing.

Perfect holiday
We had an amazing stay at HM Gran Fiesta. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the pool and beach were fantastic. Everything exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Great hotel
We had a wonderful stay as a family with a 3 year old at HM Gran Fiesta in July 2026 and would definitely recommend this hotel.
The location is fantastic, right on the beach, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and supermarkets just outside the hotel. The beach was beautiful, clean, and sandy, and both the sea and the hotel pools were lovely and very warm during our stay.
The food was very good and really tasty throughout our holiday. Breakfast was quite repetitive, but that’s fairly typical for hotel breakfasts. Dinner had a different theme each evening, which was nice, although many dishes remained the same with just a few changing each night but overall food was really good and we always found something to eat. Despite that, everything was well prepared, there was plenty of choice, and the dessert selection was excellent.
The staff deserve a special mention. Everyone, from the reception team to housekeeping, the restaurant staff, buffet staff, and kitchen team, was incredibly friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. Thank you to all of you for making our holiday even more enjoyable.
The only slight downside was that English was a little limited among the staff apart from the reception. However, this was never a real issue because everyone was so kind and always did their best to help.
The pools were excellent. Our 3-year-old absolutely loved both the downstairs pools and rooftop pool and spent hours enjoying them.
Our room was cleaned every day and was always spotless. The only minor criticism is that the room was a little small, but it was comfortable and perfectly adequate for our stay.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday with no issues at all. Great location, friendly staff, delicious food, lovely pools, and a beautiful beach. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend HM Gran Fiesta.

Love the view.
We had a very nice stay with a friendly staff, a clean room and beautiful views. The rooms are not big though,except the bath part. The shower room is perfect. Rooftop is an attractive part of the hotel with its views and bar. If you are a smoker, don't expect to be treated as one. There's no place to sit outside for you like in other hotels we've been to. Service is good and cleanliness as well. The food is ok, but don't expect surprises. We like that the hotel is in a more quiet area along the playa than further east towards Arenal. There's plenty of restaurants and shops in this area because of all the beach hotels around, but if you like cheaper prices, search in the streets behind these hotels. The beach is very nice, but the price for a sunbed has gone up skyways, so buy a floater to use both on land and sea. Much cheaper. Finally we think the bed was a bit hard, so sleep quality was just almost 100 procent. We considered the value of money as an average for the room and stay - we had a front sea room.
