Best hotel in Beijing!!

Totally recommend this hotel for location, service, food and overall experience. We arrived later in the evening after a long travel day and we were greeted warmly by the front desk, given tea to drink, a map that showed us the best spots to visit and eat. The rooms are original and cozy, bed was great, and the food at the restaurants were some of the best food we’ve eaten on our 5 week trip. And the complimentary breakfast is absolutely delicious! If you’re looking for a home away from home in a big city that can feel overwhelming at times - this is the perfect place to stay to feel comfortable and taken care of AND well fed. Highly recommend!!

The Orchid is the best place to stay

We loved The Orchid. The location made us feel we were in the heart of Beijing, getting a taste of the real China. The staff were so welcoming, explaining everything and helping with recommendations, even posting our mail. We had a choice of two restaurants onsite, which were amazing, plus an onsite bakehouse. The brownies and cinnamon scrolls were especially good. The rooms were each unique and so comfortable. Highly recommend The Orchid.

If you like small, characterful boutique stays in great locations, this hotel is a great option

We absolutely loved our 6 night stay at the Orchid, for so many reasons: the fabulous location, the charming room (apartment 9, opposite the hotel) the Toast cafe breakfasts and a dinner (after a week in rural China we were craving a break from local cuisine) and the staff, who were exceptionally welcoming and kind — they even managed to secure tickets to the museum on our behalf, after we’d explained that we missed out. We would definitely stay here again. Easy to book directly and communicate with staff prior to departure.

A wonderful discovery

If you're going to Beijing, you absolutely have to stay here! The hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The room was very comfortable, the hotel was beautiful—an oasis in the middle of the city—but the best part was the excellent service from the staff (the three ladies at the front desk helped me book my tours of the Great Wall and the city's must-see sights). I really couldn’t have asked for a better welcome! I’ll definitely be back next year! Book early and don’t think twice—it’s usually always full. And dinner at the Toast restaurant, on the top floor of the hotel, was one of the best dinners of my trip!
