Not bad

Lunch on the terrace
Excellent waffles, well served and very good value for money.
Don't do as I did, don't choose the shrimp croquettes, they are good but for the value for money, it's the complete opposite, an appetizer at the price of a main course.

Something different than average.

On the way to the boat from Dunkirk to Dover we slept a night in Hotel Aan Zee. This hotel was chosen because it looked so nice and different on the site. And so it was exactly. The room itself was not really special and the bed was (for us) very soft and saggy. But downstairs it all looked as original as in the pictures and you can eat delicious waffles and drink good beer. The breakfast was fine, there was everything. They have a restaurant about 100 meters away where you can eat very good. Big advantage for us also the possibility to store your car in a lockable garage for 1 car. We could leave all the stuff in the car. Pay attention to room 25: outside is a large lamp on the wall and the curtains inside just do not reach the windowsill. The room stays pretty bright at night.

go there with your eyes closed

the hotel is clean its style changes from other hotels,
the lady is very nice, she even paid attention to our dog (bowl, candy, cushion)
the lunch is great, good products
there is a tea room tested with giant waffles ;)
There are rooms designed for people with reduced mobility.

Tasty and fresh dishes

Looking for a lunch address, we came across this and the food smelled delicious. It tasted delicious too, freshly prepared, friendly service. An address to keep in mind and come back to in the future.

Another fantastic stay

We have now visited this hotel a few times and continue to be very impressed with the high standard and location. This time we stayed in Room 12 which faces the rear and has its own terrace with seating which was perfect in the hot sun. At night the air conditioning was effective and kept the room very cool. Another great stay, thank you.
