1 night in Bathsheba

Cute little 1 bed apartment. 30 from the beach.
Outdoor seating
Kitchen with cooker, microwave, kettle, utensils
Shower ( nice hot water)
Double bed ( very comfy)with additional mosquito net
Fan in bedroom
Really helpful host Fitz
Parking just outside accommodation
Very quiet at night time, ocean noise to lull you to sleep, not bar or restaurant open after 5pm ish
Bus stops just across the road , buses to other villages
Sea it wild ( swimming isn’t recommended but beautiful to watch)
It is budget accommodation so bear that in mind

Bajan through and through

A very last minute booking for 3 nights here. It’s bajan through and through. The host Fitz is a really nice man and accommodating. I’ll certainly return later in the year with my wife.
The beach is no more than 30seconds, so ideal for surfers. There is bar up the road. Couldn’t recommend this more a beach side location.

Beautiful spot

Great stay for the location (ocean view!) and price. Fitz the owner is incredibly helpful, without asking offered to drive me a significant distance to get some cash and even further to get some bug spray! Also a great guy to chat to with lots of stories. The place is definitely "rustic" but if you have a sense of adventure and strong bug spray, you'll be ok. No A/C but two powerful fans and the ocean breeze meant it wasn't that hot. I only stayed a night.
Love the East coast! Bathsheba is beautiful and the surfers are mesmerizing. Nearby zaccio's was the spot (ate there twice) for fresh food at a good price with lovely servers, had their flying fish sandwich and tuna tacos. Bus stop just across the road but probably get one (to the city) a few minutes further east which has shelter from the sun.

Relaxation

Cant compliment Rest Haven Beach Cottages enough and its owner Fitz.
A perfectly located place to stay and relax and an owner who will go out of his way and further to make your stay as great as possible.
Easily the best place I've stayed in Barbados.

Could be so much better.

We stayed here for one night having visited Bathsheba many times in the 19 years we have been coming to Barbados. The ‘cottage’ we stayed in was called Little Sea See, with one bedroom. The location is wonderful, right opposite the beach and Fitz, the owner is a very nice man. On the positive side the bed was comfortable although small and we were given thick white towels. However, everything was dirty. The furniture was very shabby, the light bulbs had no shades. The kettle wouldn’t boil but just kept turning itself on and off. Kitchen supplies were very meagre, just one knife and one fork for two people! A few other utensils but I wouldn’t have used them as the cooker was absolutely filthy. We knew there was no air con but the fan was on a timer so turned itself off in the middle of the night. Such a shame as with a good clean and some paint this could be a charming little chalet. I suppose for the price of US$60 you can’t expect too much but you do expect things to be clean.
