A very enjoyable stay
I stayed here with a friend as part of a rail holiday travelling down the Südbahn from Vienna to Trieste. The hotel is a short walk downhill from Payerbach-Reichenau railway station, so it was very convenient for photography days or trips up and down to the Semmering area stations. Our room was excellent - spacious and clean. The hotel restaurant offers a good range of dishes and we ate there on all three nights of our stay. It's very pleasant to sit under the trees in the courtyard. Service was good and prompt, even when the restaurant was busy. The local Raxbräu beer is available here and was very easy to drink. Breakfast was a very good quality (organic tea, for example) and plentiful buffet, with lots of choice. The owner is a real gentleman and was happy to chat about railway history. I will no doubt return with my wife and explore the area more, and not just from a railway perspective.

Lunch that is fun!
We had lunch under a mighty lime tree. The young boss, polite and competent assigned us the place. There was an abundant selection of delicacies. We opted for a chicken fillet with egg sponge and a tasty roast onion. The liver dumpling soup initially tasted very good. The main courses, too. Maril dumplings and chestnut rice with perfect espresso rounded off our menu. The whole thing was the replacement program for the restaurant Looshaus, which has been fully booked for months. We were very satisfied and thank you for the special services in the field of culinary arts.

Very nice hotel with excellent cuisine
We had a great stay (4 nights) at Hotel Payerbacherhof. The rooms were adequately equipped and clean, the staff were extremely friendly. Regarding Food was the breakfast excellent and plentiful, even the dishes in the restaurant were exceptionally good, especially the desserts.

Ideal for trips to the Rax & Kreuzberg
The family-run hotel is ideal for excursions to the surrounding area of Payerbach, such as the Rax, the Hoellental or the Kreuzberg. The spa town itself naturally has its own charm from centuries ago and is perfect for walks along the Schwarza river! The only disappointment: the old local train only runs on weekends...
The hotel is centrally located in the town center, modernly equipped and inexpensive; the breakfast was great! The restaurant offers an extensive menu with very tasty delicacies.
The staff is very friendly & helpful.
Dear Huebner family - we will definitely stay here again on our next visit!
