Hotel is a little tired, however the rooms have be made over rather well, great beds and big TV screens… would happily stay again

Ordinary at best

No offer of a breakfast pak at check in.
Shower “hot”water was tepid at best @ 19:00pm
Ordered a steak & veg for diner, to dine in my room. Steak was very nice. Given bamboo cutlery to deal with the steak.
Come on guys! If you are that worried about cutlery theft, you have my credit card details.
Room needed a thorough cleaning. Black marks on the doona cover & potential skid marks on the wall next the loo paper.
Not a good first impression. I won’t be back.

There was a welcoming committee of abusive drunks and bar flies outside the pub and drive through entrance, who do not mind abusing people for nothing at all, as they walk past minding their own business, just to get to reception to check-in. Check in at the main public bar is mostly unattended, until one of the pub staff happens to notice you.
Food is pretty ordinary, but it is fairly simple to order using the bar code and arrives in a timely fashion.
The gate to the actual hotel accommodation part is mostly unlocked, so not secure from the public bar and many homeless, or at least aimless people hanging around. The pool is green / brown and unusable, with all of the surrounds unkept.
The hotel is right on the main highway north south and there is nothing easily accessible around it, as it is basically an all-industrial area, apart from the seedy pub itself, that the accommodation is attached to.

Very comfortable bed, good size tv, fairly quiet room, BWS on site, great food and room service, friendly staff and close to airport. Really enjoyed my 2 nights stay here.
