Owl Head Lodge, a place of comfort, peace and serenity that you will never want to leave

The glass house complex is uniquely amazing. The main glass cottage has a luxury bedroom with bathroom including bath, a central log fire, large kitchen and butlers pantry. The east and west units are also stand alone with a complete separate compact kitchen in each and their own bathroom with a view.
All three have Breakfast sachets, condiments, juice in the fridge, a pod coffee machine with plenty of pods plus a bar-b-cue. They can be booked individually or together.
Outside are lounges, big table, smaller intimate table and chairs, a pool for summer and a view to make one never want to leave.
There is also other separate accommodation nearby but all very private but close enough to be combined for a bigger group…….see online.
At night the Milky Way is just brilliant.
Gulgong is a quaint town a few kms away and has an extensive museum that will surprise you and you will need quite some time to see it all. Mudgee is 20 mins south.
The peace and beauty of Owl Head Lodge is a place I will return to again and again.

Sunset at Owl Head Lodge

Fabulous large cottage with very high ceilings and lots of space. It is very quiet, on a property a few minutes drive from Gulgong. Full kitchen, with everything we needed. Coffee machine, with generous number of pods. Internet is Starlink - very good. Two spacious bedrooms. Huge bathroom, with a washing machine as well. Lounge & dining plenty of seats and lounges. I loved the cattle grazing on next doors property, that came to the fence one night, the 2nd night a lot of goats came. Third night no animals, but an amazing sunset, because of the clouds. Highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you .

Great spot and good value

Great place for a break to the Gulgong/Mudgee area. Stayed in the 'Glass House' which is self-contained accommodation. Great views from the accommodation and has all the cooking facilities, etc that you need. We also got a 4 nights for the price of 3 package so the value was very good. Access is via gravel road but good condition so should not be an issue for most cars. There is several accommodation options (7 in total with 6 in close proximity to each other) but this means that you don't get that romantic 'on your own' feeling, but we knew that. They need to do a bit of housekeeping around the accommodation. The paving has weeds, the outdoor lounge is a bit worn, etc but that did not really affect our stay. The Glass House does not have any curtains in the main living area so if you have 4 people and 2 are on the sofa lounge they will be seeing the sun come up very early. Penty of plates, etc The photo on the web site showing the bathroom in the Glass House is old and has been updated and now has a bath with a great view. If you have a group it is possible to book the Glass House and the 2 end 'Glass Studios' and there would be enough plates, seats, etc in the Glass house to do the cooking, etc

What an amazing place to stay!

Every year we (as a group of 8 friends from school) go away for a 4 day weekend. This year we had the privilege of all coming home to Gulgong, to stay at Owl Head Lodge.
Rob was so easy to deal with via phone & email & the place is just amazing. We had the Glass Cottage, the 2 Glass Studio's East & West & the Shearers Quarters West. We were welcomed with a bottle of Red, & settled in for our stay.
The rooms are so beautifully presented, the Cottage had everything you could possibly need & all within a 5 min drive to town. With such a spectacular view, you could easily waste away a day just relaxing at Owl Head.
When it's Gulgong's time again, we'll absolutely be back!

Amazing!

It’s a Fantastic and amazing place. Views are stunning, everything thing is impeccable and comfortable. I stayed because I had to go to the area for business, but I will be returning with the family to enjoy it with them. Rob is very friendly and helpful.
