great location

Does have an elevator, Nice clean rooms. Rather impersonal staff but ok. The location makes up for that. Easy walking distance to the abbey and places to eat. We parked on the street with no cost. Recommend.

bathroom

Rooms were OK. The bathroom was a disaster. The shower was so small that it made you feel claustrophobic, but that wasn't the worst part. When you flush the toilet, the contents are pumped back up from the shower drain after a certain amount of time. So you end up with the contents of the toilet on the floor of the shower.

Good value, secure bike storage

Emailed the hotel about secure bike storage. They have a locked bike garage that I would call a shed. Great for bike tour tourists.
Check in was not available till 15:00 so plan accordingly and I mean no one was there. (As they stated, we arrived early and went for a late lunch.)
Room was in a new building next to the historic building. Elevator, modern, nice spacious room and bathroom.
Criticisms. No Rollladen to keep the sun out. And no, curtains in the room aren't the same as the sun is already in the room at that point. This is something I will criticize all German hotels on, if you don't have A/C please provide a fan!
Despite the location near the main road it was quiet and we slept well.
We'd definitely stay there again.

Good Hotel, no reception after 19:00

This hotel was recommended by a supplier nearby and it was good and perfectly clean hotel. It doesn't have reception after 19:00.
Toilet was nice and room with plenty of space. A little overpriced.
The breakfast was nice. Recommend a walk in the village as it is very interesting.

No free WIFI

We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the monastery. The room was very blah; nothing special. The hotel is supposedly very old (1201), but nothing really shows that. It looks like it is from 1960s. The most frustrating fast is wifi. They say you can have one our free, but in order to use that you have to have a working cell phone that can receive an SMS from German telecom. We had to Skype with kids and could not make the wifi work. The staff was no help; in fact, we arrived at 7:30 and asked the staff if they can help with setting up wifi, if we have problems. We were promised assistance, but the staff locked up and left shortly before 8. There was nobody at the reception. If you are in the area for the monastery and do not need wifi, then it is ok; otherwise, look for another place.
