Neuwerk and Nige Hus are always worth a trip!

Great location! Very friendly staff! Email requests are responded to immediately. Room Vogelsand had a dream view! Food (fried potatoes!) very tasty!

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful island

A small, fine hotel! Every wish you could possibly have is fulfilled here!
Rooms are clean and nicely furnished!
All the food we had was very tasty and fresh!
Very accommodating hosts!
You are picked up from the ferry with the tractor and brought back again!
We would go back any time!

Heavenly peace in the hotel. Tip: book the carriage somewhere else.

In July 2023 we booked "Vogelsand". This is a small suite located in a rear building directly on the dike.
There, someone has let off steam in the smallest of spaces in an architectural sense: wind-protected roof terrace, large walk-in shower, small winter garden with a view of the new white radar tower.
Drinks from the Trustbar. Own restaurant (if it can be rated: also many stars) sauna and sunbathing area, oversized chessboard in the garden, particularly well-kept property with a robotic lawnmower, and so on. All paired with a wonderful peace and quiet. It all reminded us a little of the Kiek-Ut on Pellworm, where we would also like to go again.
Only, we would then book the mudflat carriages that are probably connected to the hotel somewhere else. There was no requested booking confirmation for the carriage. The "departure at 10.30" also did not exist, because the horses were not harnessed at 11 a.m. either. Anyone planning the days and perhaps having to rely on a train would have been happy to receive some information. The guest who had something fly off his head on the return journey to the island would also have been happy. Coachman: "We don't think that's what we're talking about."
Normally 5 stars for the hotel. 4 stars for the carriage.
Tip: try out the hotel. And enjoy Book the carriage somewhere else. There is another provider about 100 meters away.

Sehr schade ist, dass die Wattwagenfahrt nicht als das Highlight erlebt haben, was es eigentlich sein sollte.

Classic German Hotel in the middle of nowhere

We stayed in this hotel for one day. Neuwerk is a very small island, and many people come to visit it only for a few hours, just to make one round. We stayed for one night and were very about our decision. The time when all the tourists are gone and you are almost alone in a small peace of land in the Northern Sea is precious. We were very happy with the hotel. It is most probably old hotel but renovated. Room vas big a comfortable and what is most important new. The food in restaurant was very tasty, especially fish. The hotel was surrounded but very well maintained beautiful garden. I would definitely recommend this hotel for staying if you are planning to visit Neuwerk.

Food was amazing, best restaurant on the island

The owned restaurant "zum Anker" has it all. Good food, very nice staff who really give u the impression they like their work and their guests, which makes it even more fun and a wonderful atmosphere.
Inside and outside the restaurant is very welcoming and you can enjoy amd relax.
