Fantastic

Fantastic service! We went on a boattrip and the hotel makes a brakfast to go at 6am before we leaving. The hotel was fully booked so he arranged a hotel nearby. Great service and very kind

DO NOT BOOK! I'm sure this is a lovely hotel. The problem is that they did not honor our booking, not once, but TWICE! We booked three rooms for two separate nights. For the first night, they messaged a few weeks before saying they could not accommodate us, then reversed and said they could accommodate us, and then messaged once again the DAY BEFORE our reservation saying they could not accommodate us. Getting a refund was a fight. Since I booked as non-refundable, hotels.com refused to refund us, even though THE PROPERTY CANCELLED ON US! Eventually, by me sending emails to the hotel, they issued a refund. Second night was still booked and there were no messages, but when our family of 6 arrived at the property at about 6:00 pm, they said "sorry, we're full". No concern for the fact that we had PAID for three rooms that night. Eventually, the hotel staff called a manager and they relocated us to another nearby hotel. He blamed hotels.com. saying the third party site did not work with their system. This property should be removed from the hotels.com site completely. Very disappointed in the entire situation, the lack of help from hotels.com, and the ridiculous policy that if you book non-refundable that apparently includes if the property cancels on you. It makes zero sense.

Absolutely outstanding service from the host and his wife. They were lovely and helpful at every turn. Great restaurant recs and they let us park our car while we hiked for a few days. They were so friendly and happy to have a chat. I wish we could have stayed longer.

An excellent stay at Hotel Aleksi. The family-ran hotel really goes above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. The free use of bikes really made the city available, from swimming at Shiroka to the Mesi Bridge. When we came back from our excursions, they always met us with a smile, and even with refreshments. The rooms were spacious and clean and looked brand new. They helped us with arranging transport to and from Theth, and saw us on our way with a coffee on the day of departure. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! If you are planning a trip to Shkodër - stay at hotel Aleksi!
